Leveling Efficient Grinding (Warcraft Leveling)

Learning to efficiently grind in World of Warcraft can lead to better understand of the game, and, more importantly, more money and better experiance in a solo environment. Everyone grinds, whether we like it or not, so i will help you be able to make it more fun, and more efficient.

Firstly, what you grind is INCREDIBLY important. You should probably grind humanoids exclusively, they tend to have mobs that go down faster, and drop cloth for first aid and/or auctioning. There are a few exceptions to this rule though, if you are a skinner, you should grind beasts or dragonkin. Also, every now and then there are a few more exceptions, such as turtles in dustwallow(INCREDIBLE DROPS AND EXPERIANCE FOR THAT LEVEL!). In most situations though, humanoids are alot better to grind.

Secondly, know what you are grinding. Know where they spawn, what TYPES they are, what those different types USE (as far as abilities and spells), and most importantly : KNOW IF THERE IS A QUEST OR CHAIN OF QUESTS LEADING TO WHAT YOU PLAN TO GRIND! This may seem like common sense, but i assure you many people do not use a simple and fast tool called….THOTTBOT.COM… it will help you find mobs to grind, stuff that drops something you want, and quests!

Thirdly, while grinding, make use of your class to ITS FULLEST. Mana dumping may not always be the best choice for taking down a mob, try to kill mobs fast, but without losing much mana or health points, this will lead to shorter ammounts of time between the fights, allowing for more experiance per hour or drops per hour. Mages, make friends with mages and exploit them for their water early and often, every time you have to go grind, get food and water from a mage, in plentiful ammounts. This will assure you don’t spend excess money on buying food or water. Another thing, bandages, while good, are not effective unless you have them created, do not use them unless you have them because cloth sells very well on most servers.

Fourthly, to deal with boredom, there are MANY solutions.
-Angle your computer in a position where you can watch tv and grind at the same time.
-Listen to music(lol, obvious?).
-Ventrillo and teamspeak with friends helps time pass VERY WELL.
-The phone can also help ALOT.
-This one will sound stupid, but simple homework(busy work, if you are a student) can also be done.
-This one may sound the wierdest, but if you know how to self hypnotise or meditate, it can give you the focus you need to do a long session of grinding(i have done this many times, thanks to a grade principle at my school who taught me to self hypnotise to keep my focus.

NOW FOR THE CLASS EXPLANATIONS!!!!

Warrior : Slow, high max damage weapon, with lots of attack power gear is IDEAL.
-Open with charge when you can get away with only pulling ONE MOB, more than one mob will slow you down because you will have to rest for a longer ammount of time. If the situation looks iffy for the pull, go ahead and pull with your ranged weapon, no reason to take a chance. ALWAYS execute whenever your mob is below 20%, until then, use your instant attacks(mortal strike if you got it is great!) for more sustained dps, and alot of burst damage. *** IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH MANA FOR A BATTLE SHOUT USE IT, YOU SHOULD HAVE BATTLE SHOUT UP ALMOST ALL THE TIME, IT INCREASES YOUR DPS ALOT***. At this point, you may need to rest, but if the mobs are green you should be able to just slice through them, in which case chain pulling is, indeed, awesome.

Priest – This one is a strange one to grind with, but can be very good in the right hands. Shadow spec is important, with, hopefully, improved power word shield. Lots of int/stam/spirit gear is good.
-Open with a self power word shield, pull with mindblast and cast shadow word pain. Mindflay while the mob is running at you, if you are facing a caster mob, you may need to silence at this point. Reshield if needed whenever. Mind blast as soon as the cooldown up, and when your not mind blasting, use mindflay.
***A SPECIAL NOTE ON SILENCE, NEVER SILENCE AT THE VERY VERY START OF A SPELL, USE IT WHEN YOU THINK ITS ABOUT 1/2 to 3/4 DONE, THIS WILL SAVE YOU FROM 1 OR 2 MELEE ATTACKS, WHICH IS AMAZING***

Druid – i could tell you how people believe druids cannot grind, but this is UNTRUE, i have played a druid the entire game, and i tell you, they do it more efficient than most. Important note, spirit is nice, but not mass spirit for your "grinding gear", try to use stamina/strength/intel. Feral combat is nice, but also not needed. (next patch it will freaking own though).
***The best part about druid is that it doesn’t need rest 95% of the time, you can be in bear form and not take much damage, switch and heal, because you regen mana while in forms, keeping you at 100% mana almost all the time***
-As a druid you can choose to moonfire/faerie first(optimal), then flip to bear and spam maul. When the mob dies, you can switch to heal and rejuve and go to the next mob. VERY SIMPLE.

Mage – Very good, because you can make your own water/food and can avoid combat very easily. Ill explain how to grind as a fire mage, but you can easily apply it to frost.
-Open with fireball fireball, and continue to cast fireball until the mob reaches you, when it reaches you, frost nova and SIDESTEP(SIDE STEP IS FULL MOVE SPEED WHILE BACKSTEPPING IS NOT AS FAST) until max range, use fireball 1-2 more times, at this point it will be dead or close to dead and you can fireblast/scorch it to finish. Again, a very simple grind class.

Hunter – I love grinding as a hunter, pet’s make it very easy to be entertained imo. The main thing is that it is very easy to forget to buy a full bag of arrows/bullets, please take extra special care in doing so!
-Probably the simplest of all classes, pets tank very well, and the dps is strong. So open with pet running in, aimedshot, concussive shot and autshoot it, serpent sting and rapid shot every time the cooldown is up. Mana is not a problem, usually the pet does not sustain much damage. IF YOUR PET TAKES DAMAGE, IT IS A VERY GOOD IDEA TO USE LOWER LEVEL BANDAGES ON HIM, IT CUTS DOWN ON TIME AND MANA.

Rogue – Rogues really do not have any trouble grinding, and i feel silly in even writing this. IMO a good, slow main hand is key to maximum damage verses mobs. You won’t take much damage do to high dodge and very fast killing. Rogues can chain kill many mobs at a time without rest, i have done 15-20 mobs without even using a bandage on my rogue.
-As a rogue, it is a good idea to open with cheapshot. If there is 2 mobs, sap one and kill the other. Pretty much exclusively using Sinister Strike and Eviscerate with enough points. SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE. i dont know how you can mess this up :O.

Warlock – One of the hardest for me to explain, because there is so many different ways of doing this. You can use either the soullink build or the affliction build, even a destruction build can be used. Whichever suits you, go for it.
-Some say, use dot’s and whatnot. In my opinion, the best way to do this is to spam shadow bolts, and when you are low on mana you can mana drain a mob with mana or life drain a mob when your low hp. I like to use a succubus because they do decent damage, and when an add comes you can always seduce. Warlocks are very mana dependant, and you should take this into mind when preparing for a long grind.

Shaman – Shaman grind very well with a slow 2hander and windfury. Enhancement build is a very good choice for grinding, because you do not use much mana to kill the mob, and you can use your mana to heal yourself in between fights.
-Open with a lightning bolt pull, then melee to death. A good strategy i have found is to drop a manaspring totem, a strength of earth totem, and a searing totem, and pull every mob to your totem setup, that way you get max mana effictiveness of your totems, and don’t redrop them for each mob.

Paladin – Very slow if you do not know what you are doing, but can be fast if you do.
-A seal of command build with a good two handed weapon is almost necassary, except for one exception i will explain in a sec. It is a good i deal to judge crusader and apply seal of command, this will increase your dps when your seal procs. You really won’t take much damage, and when you are in trouble, shields freaking own.
-Alternate grinding strategy, very effective in mid 50′s and grinding undead in epl/wpl. Go for a protection build(with an option of soc) and a good shield/1h weapon. Pull 3-5 undead mobs and apply holy shield, holyshield + redoubt will be significant dps on there own, BUT exorcism and holy wrath will occasionly significantly increase your dps. Reapply holyshield as necassary, and you should have no problem, alternate ideas would be to use shield spike and retribution aura, which will lead to more damage.

Dun Morough – Wetlands secret (WoW Leveling Guide)

First, take the path from Kharonose city to gnomeregen. When the letters appear
announcing you are in gnomeregan, STOP. Turn around. There should be a big hilkl
by you, where the mountains are restricting you. Turn that way and easily make
your way up the mountian. Stop when you get the giuant drop off. slowly ease your
self off the edge, but nudging both your mouse buttons slowly. After you fall,
you should grab some of the edge going down, giving you time to heal, cause you
need your full health. Soon, if you made it to the bottom, then walk over and try
to die. When you release your spirit, you will be in Wetlands. Just rez at the
spirit healer. (Dont include these parenthesis in the final draft, but if you
need a demonstration, look me up on the server ‘The Forgotten Coast’ and make
an alliance. Add Thedutchess to friends and then talk to me if i am online.)

1-30 Hunters Guide (Warcraft Leveling)

alliance Only! Sorry
I made a guide for all those people that want to try the hunter class.
My first character was a dwarf hunter and i was a noob at MMOs so it was a long
i made a dwarf because i thought it would look the coolest as a hunter.
To start off, make your hunter (Obviously)
You end up in Coldridge Valley (fastest noob zone IMO)
i dont have to take you through this…. its very easy. do every quest and grind to 6 before you leave coldridge if you have to. make sure to get your delivery quest before you leave.
go through the cave, follow the road until you get to kharanos.
=========Kharanos================
First, as always, make Thunderbrew Distillry your home.
==Quests==
Get these quests:
Crag Boar Rib quest,
Boar Meat & Bear Fur quest,
Steelgrills Tools quest (turn in while you get the other quests) ,
Wendigo Manes quest,
Rumbleshot’s Ammo quest.
==IF==
Before you do these run to IF and get skinning and leatherworking, will cost 20c.
==Quests==
Run back to kharanos and do all these quests. you should be lvl 8 now or close to it.
now get the evershine quest and the troll quest, do these, do the favor for evershine, perfect stout, bitter rivals.
once youve turned all these in, you can head to amberstill ranch. (On your way to loch modan)
Get the quest to kill vaggash .He is level 11 elite so may need some help
You should be level 10 now. Do your hunter quest, time to get a pet! quite easy
===========Pet=============
Probbly the reason you are a hunter lol
the perfect pet for hunter combat is the bear, can tank and eats anything.
here is eachpets skills
Bear – Tanking- Easy to feed
Cat – Fast fighting, only eats fish though
Turtle – Perfect tank
==============Gol Bolar Quarry============
Here wont take long.
to get here,follow the road to loch modan past amberstill ranch… its a big hole you cant miss it.
get the 2 quests, go down in the quarry, finish these, and run back and return them.
=============Gear================
What you do here depends on what your leatherworking level is.
if you took a different proffesion i will put what to do for that too
– if you can make armor your level with LW do that now. then if possible go get journeyman LW
– if you cant, go skin a bunch of wendigos till your LW is high enough.
– If you have a diferent proffesion, you will need money here, go to ironforge to the AH and buy the best armor/weapons you can.
===========Next================
Now you will have to take the tram in IF to SW and head to ellewynn forest.
quickly do all the quests in ellwynn (you have a 4 level advantage)
you should get to 12-13 whenyou are done.
=========Westfall==============
Head to westfall and do all the quests here except for deadmines.
you should be around 16, 17
from here, head to loch modan.
========Loch Modan========
Find every quest here, dont forget to go to the hunters lodge!
Do not do elite ogre quests!
Now you should be 19, 20
=========level 20===========
go get your skills,
get/make new gear
dont dual wield, this sucks for now, you will love it at later levels
============Westfall 2===============
Deadmines! your first instance = new gear, weapons, cash
this will be easy with a group of lvl 20+ never take anyone below 18
when you are done, leave group and run to sent hill.
==========Loch Modan 2=============
Ogre slashing time, you will have a good level now to kill these
you will need a group though, at least 3 people, the cave is tricky
==========Redridge============
Now many of the quests here will be gray, start with the orc quests, and bellygrub, and get a group for all of the elite quests
easily done
you should be level 24, 25 now.
===========Wetlands=================
Do all the quests until you get to the 26+ quests, leave this for now.
When you are done, it is time to go to duskwood
=============duskwood============
do all the undead quests and other 27+ quests
you should be at least level 30 now!
==============30+====================
i got ya this far and i can elp you get a bit further.
Now you could go back to wetlands and finish up the other quests there including dark iron dwarves
from here you should go to stranglethorn and do the tiger/panther/gorrilla quests
then grind on tigers till 33
===========Shimmering Flats=============
This place is far away in thousand needles…. you gotta pass some hordes to get here but its worth it.
theres a bunch of turtles to kill (maybe tame one) and basilisks
the raceway has quests for these.
I think that you should go back to stranglethorn now and do some higher leveled quests, and there is as far as i can help you for my hunter is only 38.
==============Tips================
-Grind all you want, hunters are great at it
-Always have a ton of bullets up to your level
-Get skills from other beasts by taming them then teachng them to your other pet
-skin every beast you see
-pwn rogues with traps and track stealthed and flares and other assorted rogue pwning skills
-get interesting pets to show off to your friends

Note about Drain Tanking:
Common knowledge is that Drain Tanking is the most efficient leveling spec. Few realize, however, that it is nearly useless before level 30, due to the weakness of the lower versions of the Drain Life spell.

How to level:
Grind and quest at the same time. Either look for multiple quests that involve killing the same mobs, or look for multiple quests in the same areas. The more quests you can get done before running back to turn in, the faster your leveling will go. Also, remember to set your hearth to new places frequently. Every time you plan to level in a new place for more than an hour, set your hearth there, as the time saved by teleporting back to the nearest down instead of running is incredible.

Leveling guides:
James’ alliance Leveling guide – http://www.wow-pro.com/Knowledge_Base/cat=135.html
Joana’s horde Leveling guide – http://files.filefront.com/1_60rar/;4993624;;/fileinfo.html
Proxy/Vince’s Mage Leveling guide – http://home.comcast.net/~mxnvincent/mage.htm (Thanks Arandor for the link!)

While the last one is meant for mage, it shows some good grinding areas.

Summary:
1-9: Do your lowbie quests. Should take 2-3 hours.

10-29: Stack all your DoTs on a mob, send in the VW, stack all your DoTs on a second mob, and then wand the second mob to death. Repeat until low health, and then bandage/Consume Shadows. Each level should take about an hour, moving towards an hour and a half as you get closer to 30. If they are taking longer, figure out what the problem is (mobs too far apart, mobs have too much life, too much downtime) and move to an area that solves it.

30-39: Drain Tank: Load the mob up on DoTs, send in the Succubus, cast Drain Life while the mob beats on you, rinse and repeat.

40-49: Drain Tank, but instead of Life Tapping, use Dark Pact. A good rule of thumb is, DP only if your pet is over 50% mana, because if they run out it will slow your fighting time down. The easiest way to do this is to turn off all autocast abilities on your Succubus, and remember to DPing during the fight (rather than after) as a good time-saver because your DoTs will help keep up the DPS.

50-59: The Drain Tanking gets even better now. By Demonic Sacrificing your pet, you are able to regen even more life per fight, keeping up with increasing monster damage, while still ‘Tapping up to full mana whenever you want because of the passive regen.

60: You are now specced SM/DS, which is generally accepted to be best grinding spec. Do whatever killing you need to do, grind factions etc., and then respec to your high-level build of choice.

Equipment Choice:
"I found that during early levels it was best to focus on +sta, and at around 35 or so to switch to +shadow or +dmg. If you are specced into affliction and are draintanking, +dmg will be vastly superior to +sta. You kill the mobs much faster for the same mana, and heal yourself that much faster." -Clutchsama

It’s my personal opinion that up until about level 40 you should stack +sta and "of the Eagle" gear. At 30, start looking for Shadoweave gear, and around 40 switch into it. Full Shadoweave can be made by tailors, and will give a bonus of +114 shadow damage, along with some Int and Sta, and can be equipped at level 44.

In general, while using Dark Pact I stack as much +damage gear as possible, and while using Demonic Sacrifice, I stack as much +sta gear as possible, while keeping a minimum of +100 dmg.

Special Thanks:
Zanoza, Clutchsama, Lyvia (her alliance leveling guide is on page 9… check it out), Grunewald and Duet.

AV Easy-Rams!, for allience rogues and druids (Warcraft Leveling)

I was collecting rams for the ram riders a few days ago after getting the lether straps in, but found that the horde had taken the stormpike graveyard! As we all know, you have to pass the bridge to get to the quest dwarf. So instead of taking the path, I ran underneath the bridge. Popped into cat form and stealthed- of coarse the ram does not. But that’s the point!

Through horde‘s eyes, it will seem like another ram has just wandered it’s way up the hill and near the bridge. It also help if you go back and forth to make the effect that the ram has no destination.

The rams never actually go on the bridge, so that makes stealthing across suspicious. horde usually come in waves across the bridge, so it helps to just wait near the bridge for an open gap- when it’s clear, make a mad dash for it!

I’ve done this many times and 100% of the time I was unharmed.

You can also grap the collor and jump down the ledge to your left (facing the queat-giver), tame a ram, and trinket back up the slope. Don’t worry if your ram doesn’t appear, it climbs up the ledge and should be with you in a few seconds. DO NOT turn in the ram before you see it! This can screw it up, the ram will come back, and you can’t turn him in! You can use the collor on another ram, but instead of following you it will just keep attacking. The only way to get rid of your extra ram is to die.

This might be faster, but it just isn’t as fun as seeing horde look straight at you (even when you’re buddie’s not stealthed) and not suspect a thing!

Hunter Epic Quest Walkthrough Map And FAQ (WoW Leveling Guide)

The Beginning
———————-
– You must recieve the Ancient Petrified Leaf from Majordomo Executus’ cache. He is the second to last boss in MC. The droprate postpatch is now 50%, the other quest starter drop being the priest epic starter.

- You must also recieve the Mature Black Sinew from Onyxia. The droprate varies, some report it dropping about 20%, others report 2%…

- *OPTIONAL* If you want the epic quiver (18 slots, 15% increased ranged attack speed), you must either down Azuregoes (100% drop) or farm the blue elite dragons in Winterspring (about a .1% droprate).

- After recieving the Ancient Petrified Leaf, you then travel to tallest hill in the center of Irontree Woods located in Felwood. Three Ancients will appear, each of them holds a quest to the Hunter epic quest.

General Information
——————————
– You MUST do this alone, that means no pets, no totems, nothing
– You can get buffed, healed, ressed, etc BEFORE you start the encounter with each demon.
– You CAN be in a party, just not in a raid (make sure! or else you wont be able to loot the head).
– Having auras from other members of the party of any kind is usable, but highly not recommended, if you go out and in of the aura’s range, they may be put on the demon’s aggro list and the demon may despawn.
– Each demon has about a 3-4 hour respawn time, and once spawned, it stays only spawned for about 20 minutes.
– Any class other then a hunter that goes within range of the demon’s aggro, will get blasted for a 5-10k AOE.
– You do NOT have to respec for the fights, but having certain talents will make it much easier.
– If you feel that you messed up or will not win the fight, FEIGN DEATH, it rarely resists against these demons.
– To make fights the easiest, get a full group that comprises of a mage (for AI), priest (for fort and resses), druid (for mark), and a warrior(for clearing).
– Use Rank 1 Arcane shot to keep all the demons tagged. If you have the PvP set gloves, use those, they will reduce the arcane shot mana cost by 25, thus making each rank 1 shot 9 mana.
– If you do not tap the demon every 12 seconds or so, it will get "bored," deaggro, and run back to the start.
– Some helpful buffs are recommended on all the demons, which include Fortitude, Arcane Intellect, Mark of the Wild, and a Demonslaying Potion.

ALSO NOTE THAT THIS guide CONTAINS SPOILERS ON THE ENCOUNTERS. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE YOUR EXPERIENCE SPOILERED DO NOT READ PAST THIS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Winterspring – Artorius the Doombringer
——————————————————

Video:
http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=5260

Where?-
– North of Winterspring

Winterspring Demon Map:

ConsumablesBuffs Used-
– Aspect of the cheetah (self)

Info-
– Stacked rank 8 serpent sting does massive amounts of damage to this demon.
– You must stay outside of 30 yards of him or he will give you a debuff that does 700 dmg enraged and about 150 calmed.
– Having 3 points into Hawk eye will make this encounter much easier.
– Tranq shot will calm him – but should not be ever needed if stayed outside of range.

Strategies-
– Once you are ready, dont bother starting out with an aimed shot or trap, you need to conserve as much mana as possible for serpent stings.
– Have ALL your party members follow infront of you on their mounts to train ALL the mobs that you may run into.
– Use rank 1 arcane shot to keep him tapped every 7 seconds.
– Every 4-5 seconds, apply a new serpent sting on him, it will stack damage.
– Using Aspect of the Cheetah to kite him. You will keep running non-stop, using jumpshot will actually make you get out of range, if so, stop, turn around and arcane shot him then serpent sting him.
– You will have to kite him from the top of Winterspring until near the town of Everlook. Thus, having party members train all the mobs infront of you will make this very easy.
– If you stay outside of range the whole time, you will never get debuffed or ever need to use tranq shot. Just keep running and applying serpent stingarcane shot.

Burning Steppes – Klinfran the Crazed
————————————————-

Video:
http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=5273

Where?-
– West of Burning Steppes

Burning Steppes Demon Map:

ConsumablesBuffs Used-
– Aspect of the monkey (self)

Info-
– In enraged mode, this demon does over 2000 damage.
– Using Scorpid Sting will reduce the demon’s damage 350%, thus doing 1 damage.
– Everytime he enrages, he gets rid of all of his debuffs.
– If you scattershot him and he is enraged or gets enraged while dazed from the scattershot, DO NOT shoot the scorpid sting until he is undazed. If you shoot a scorpid sting while he is scattershotted, it will do NOTHING.

Strategies-
– Start out laying down a frost trap to slow the demon down, aimed shot him, and keep moving backwards until he turns red (enrages).
– Every time he turns red, shoot a scorpid sting at him.
– Once he calms down after a scorpid sting, (VERY IMPORTANT) run in and melee him, do not waste mana on raptor strikes or mongoose bites.
– When I used the Barbarous Blade, after 3 hits, use RANK 1 wing clip to wingclip him, and STRAFE sideways away from him (if you are faced opposite of him, he has a chance of snaring you).
– If you are having troubles using rank 1 wingclip and getting far enough, you can use rank 3 wingclip, but be sure to get some night dragons and mana pots and use them everytime the timer is up.
– Keep running and use rank 1 arcane shot to keep him tapped until he enrages again, rince and repeat. This fight can take from 7-10 minutes.

Un’Goro – Simone the Seductress
———————————————-

Video:
http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=5281

Where?-
– South of Un’goro

Un’Goro Demon Map:

ConsumablesBuffs Used-
– Aspect of the Wild (From another hunter)
– Aspect of the Monkey (self)
– Nature Protection Potion
– Goblin Rocket Helmet (engineering)
– Greater Mana Potion

Info-
– Casts an ability called Temptress’ Kiss which reduces range attack power by 1400 for 45 seconds.
– Casts a Lightning spell which does around 800 damage, but only around 200 with Aspect of the Wild.
– Viper sting will silence this demon.
– She hits softly, but her pet hits for about 200 damage.

Strategies-
– This can be a semi-difficult fight or a really easy one, depending on how you are specced and if you have a Goblin Rocket Helmet.
– I recommend having another hunter in your group with Aspect of the Wild on, and that you would use Aspect of the Monkey.

–Drink a Nature Protection Potion prior to the fight.
–Start by laying a Freezing Trap, Hunter’s Mark, Aimed shot on Simone, then immediately concussive shot
–Have the pet get trapped, shoot a serpent sting at her, and immediately run in and go all out melee.
–Once the pet is out of the trap, use your helmet on it.
–Once the pet is out of the disorient, pop detterence to dodge them.
–Scattershot her whenever you see her start to cast the lightning bolt.
–Continue to melee her, she will go down really fast.

-If you don’t have a Goblin Rocket Helmet, be stocked on tubers, night dragon’s breath, and healing potions.
-I don’t recommend trying to run around and kite the demon and her pet, its much easier to take it and go all out in melee range.

Silithus – Solenar the Slayer
————————————-

Video:
http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=5283

Where?-
-Mid-west of Silithus

Silithus Demon Map:

ConsumablesBuffs Used-
– Thorns (Druid)
– Shadow Protection (priest)
– Aspect of the Hawk (self)
– 2x Greater Shadow Protection Potion
– 2x Whipper Tubers
– 2x Night Dragon’s Breath
– ~5x Heavy Dynamites (either engineering or ez-throw)

Info-
– Casts a ~700 damage fear every 10 seconds or so. The damage is always done, but the fear can be resisted through Shadow Resistence.
– Will spawn about 3 bugs that are stacked on top of each other that do 150-250 damage a hit.
– With rank 3 Wing clip, it will give him a "crippling" effect and will be immobolized for about 10-15 seconds.
– Will cast fears only when immobolized.
– He melees for about 200-300 damage, but will miss a lot.
– Higher shadow resistance will greatly improve your chances of resisting the fear. Have a priest buff you with Shadow Protection.

Strategies-

Macros used:
Wingclip-
/target solenar
/cast Wing Clip(Rank 3)

Arcane Shot-
/target Solenor
/cast Arcane Shot(Rank 1)

Serpent Sting-
/target Solenar
/cast Serpent Sting(Rank 8)

Multishot creepings-
/target creeping
/cast Multi-Shot(Rank 1)

- Start out with a Frost Trap, shoot him, and he should turn from red to normal color after he goes over the trap. The trap chills him, and only has to be done the first time you spawn him. Immediately feign death to reset him.
– Drink a Greater Shadow protection potion and wait for the cooldown. This will absorb the shadow fear damage.
– Lay down an explosive trap, hunter’s mark him, and drink up for mana.
– Aim shot him, and as soon as he is over your explosive trap, wingclip him to immobolize him into place.
– For the next 15 or so seconds, you should be uninterupted by the bugs, as they will die with the explosive trap AoE effect. After the first fear, cast Rapid Fire to unload onto Solenar while his creeps are getting burned up by the explosive trap.
– Apply serpent sting everytime it runs out, and rank 1 arcane shot everytime after you get feared.
– When you accumalate a lot of bugs, use RANK 1 Volley to kill them. If your volley isn’t up, use a dynamite.
– Whenever you get a chance, hit the multi-shot creeping macro to take out a group of creepings.
– After you arcane shot Solenar, keep autoshooting him until the next fear.
– Once your TuberDragon’s Breath timers are up, use them immediately.
– Once your Greater Shadow Protection buff is up, use the 2nd one immediately to absorb as much fear damage as possible.

Extra gold (Leveling Guide)

This is basically something you can do at the start or end of your day for some extra cash. It’s simple and doesn’t take a ton of time.

REQUIREMENT: I guess level 60, or you could be a rogue in the 50s and you’ll need the Scarlet Key. Also you’ll need Enchanting for this to be effective.

What you do is run/stealth to Herod and kill him. Get the loot, and disenchant it. 2g/Large Radiant Shard minimum. People say this sucks, but it’s actually quite nice if you use this right. DE all the loot and sell the shards.

Say you get 10 shards a day. 5 runs at the beginning of your day, and 5 at the end. Extra 20g a day. To sum it up, basically 40g an hour. But since you can’t go in instances more than 5 times an hour, it’s not that great. Which is why it’s best to do 5 runs when you log on, and 5 runs before you log out.

1 day = 20g
1 week = 140g

Simple, eh?
